The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority has developed two apps with Cambridge-based SwiftMobile. The apps are designed as a personal concierge for your mobile phone that combines networking and navigation to get you to the right people, places, and services. Within one simple application, you can:
- Find your way around the MCCA’s two Boston facilities.
- Find nearby restaurants, hotels, and retailers.
- Get real-time travel information for airport departures, traffic updates, and public transit issues.
- Update Twitter with the SWIFT Tweeter, a client for Twitter that auto-embeds the event hashtag for you and allows you to track, follow, and re-tweet event tweets.

Event planners can now offer mobile phone apps for their events through the MCCA.
Our best-in-class venue apps, myHynes and myBCEC, can be customized with your session schedules, social networking, event details, and interactive trade show floor maps. Event planners can also sell in-app advertising, exhibitor pages and sponsorships. The apps features include GPS-enabled local maps and area merchants, travel alerts, and social networking. They are also compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, Blackberry, and, soon, Android.
