BCEC In-house Services


One-stop shopping services are built into the very foundation of the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC). And because the BCEC features the most modern exhibit floor and meeting room support technologies and utilities, exhibitors and presenters will enjoy high-end, high-quality services more conveniently than they've ever experienced at any other facility. Whether you're planning an association event, trade show, conference, or corporate meeting, the BCEC will ensure that you enjoy first-class, world-class services from start to finish.

Convention Services (top)
To assist with your event planning, a dedicated convention services coordinator is assigned to each event. This person serves as the main point of contact between the BCEC staff and the event planner. In addition to creating an event resume detailing the event schedule, exhibit requirements, room sets, and building service needs, your coordinator will schedule a pre-convention meeting, conduct operational site visits, provide on-site assistance and orchestrate the final invoice.

Customer Service Center (top)
The Customer Service Center will assist exhibitors with the coordination of their service orders. The Customer Service Representative is the exhibitor's point of contact for any questions or information requests about the BCEC. A Customer Service Desk is located in the General Contractor's service area. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact the BCEC Customer Service Center at (617) 954-2230.

Technical and Utility Services (top)
The BCEC offers the most advanced user-support system of technical services of any convention facility in the world. These include state-of-the-art connectivity, telephone, and satellite services conveniently accessed from floor boxes right in the center of the exhibit halls! Specifications are as follows:

Utilities Power, Data, AV, Water, and Gas Floor Boxes:
  • 30' x 30' on center
  • 100 amp 120/ 208V 3-phase pin and sleeve with sub fed 30 amp 120/ 208V, 3-phase, twist lock NEMA L21-30R receptacle and 2 - 20 amp 120V GFI receptacles
  • 30 amp 120/ 208V 3-phase dedicated twist-lock NEMA L21-30R receptacle
  • 10 - category 6 telecommunications cables with 8 Strand Multi-Mode Optical Fibers
  • 1 - Microphone tie cable
  • 1 - RG-6 Broadband 18 Ga. Cable
  • 2 - RG59U Coax 20 AWG Video Cable

High Voltage:

  • 200 amp 277/ 480V bus duct at the low roof/ 10' sections 90' on center
  • 200 amp 277/ 480 V floor boxes 60' on center at the high roof
  • 200 amp 120/208V bus duct at the low roof/ 50' sections 90' on center

Water, Waste Water Drain, and Compressed Air:

  • 30' x 60' on center
  • 3/4" Nonpotable water, 3/4" compressed air and a 3" waste water drain

Rigging services at the BCEC are provided exclusively through the MCCA. Please contact your event manager for details.

Medical Services (top)
The BCEC features the on-site services of a Registered Nurse and Emergency Medical Technicians. We will be happy to provide additional support depending upon the special requirements of your event.

Food & Beverage Services (top)
All of the BCEC's catering services are provided by our in-house caterer, ARAMARK Services, Inc. ARAMARK can provide catering or banquet services to any location in the convention center. Let our sales department guide you through meeting room and exhibit hall catering, as well as receptions and seated banquets. Whether you require service for 4 or 4,000, we have what you need. You can choose from our vast array of preset menu selections or let our chef tailor a menu to suit your individual needs.

The Catering Menu includes the following:

AV Services (top)
The BCEC offers complete Audio/Visual services.
For the convenience of our customers, our in-house audio visual company may provide you with a wide selection of audio visual equipment. Please contact your event manager for additional information.

Security Services (top)
The BCEC provides a security team of officers for access control and floor patrol for the entire building. This team is also trained in emergency response for fire, medical, crowd control, and to identify safety hazard or public safety related violations.

The BCEC offers uniformed security guards for any exhibitor wishing to order the service for their exhibit booth.

Cleaning Services (top)
The BCEC offers complete and professional cleaning services before, during and after every event and function held at the facility. Public areas are meticulously maintained on a complimentary basis. Efficient and economical services for individual exhibitors and special event areas are available on-site and can be pre-ordered, including daily cleaning and porter service of booth.
