The Hynes employs a professional team of Public Safety Managers, Supervisors and Officers who perform a wide range of duties and services, including access control; CCTV monitoring; foot patrol; and response to emergency incidents such as fire alarms, crowd control, security breeches, and medical emergencies. All permanent, full time supervisors and officers are trained in professional emergency response, and in administering CPR/First Aid, and Automatic Defibrillator (AED) services, if necessary. The team is also trained to identify and take action regarding observed safety hazards and/or other public safety related violations.
The Hynes Convention Center offers uniformed Public Safety Officers for any exhibitor wishing to order the service for their exhibit booth. Public Safety Officers are scheduled in four-hour increments and are available from move-in through move-out periods. Exhibitors order Public Safety services through our Customer Service Center or through a visit our secure online ordering page.
All Public Safety services for show management are coordinated directly with the Hynes Public Safety Manager at (617) 954-2071. The Public Safety Manager will design and customize security plans for events.
